We have had this slicer for years and it has been in our basement storage area. We used it one time to make deer jerky slices for our dehydrator when we lived in Wyoming and while cleaning the storage area downstairs, found it again. It worked great the one time we used it and it still works fine, but we just don't use it.
The box shows it is not a new slicer, but the slicer itself is in great shape. We even still have the manual.
